The Jockey Club Museum of Climate Change (MoCC) is dedicated to supporting individuals from all backgrounds and abilities to take action to reduce carbon emissions and embrace a sustainable way of life. Recognizing the challenge in effectively communicating climate change, over the past year, the MoCC collaborated with the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies of CUHK and the Audio Description Association (Hong Kong), to develop climate-related educational materials, particularly for those with special needs. The Inclusive Museum Exhibition, curated by the MoCC features interpretations in Hong Kong Sign Language and audio guides for selected exhibits, making crucial climate information more accessible to a wider audience. This initiative aims to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can engage with and learn from the MoCC exhibits and become part of Hong Kong’s climate action.
