Organized by the Hong Kong Sustainable Campus Consortium (HKSCC)1, the Hong Kong Green Campus Challenge ‘SDG#12 GAMIthon’ is one of the flagship events of the Jockey Club Sustainable Campus Consumer Programme aiming to promote responsible consumption and production, and to deliver the message about doing more and better with less. Hosted in the form of a hackathon, the ‘GAMIthon’ gathers participants to co-create fun and educational gaming solutions related to sustainability and brings the solutions into the Hong Kong community. The activity is supported by the eight UGC-funded tertiary institutions and gaming consultancy in Hong Kong. With the theme of ‘developing a gaming solution and invite the world to adopt a responsible consumption and production lifestyle’, the ‘GAMIthon’ covers a range of streams including ‘Food Loss’, ‘Invisible Resources - Energy and Water’, ‘Production and Consumption’ and ‘Sustainable Campus’.
